As medical director of Glamoi Med Spa, Dr. Back K. Kim aims to make a wide range of nonsurgical cosmetic treatments available to Glamoi clients throughout greater New York City.
Dr. Kim received his medical education and training at several reputable places of education including the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia; Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island; Case Western Reserve University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio; John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland; and the Seoul National University College of Medicine.
He earned his board certification in cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and cardiovascular disease from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Kim is chief medical officer and a founder of Glamoi-affiliated Heart Vein NYC, which opened its doors in 2010. He also serves as director of the Cardiovascular Patient Outreach and Research program at Lenox Hill Hospital and as a clinical instructor of medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, both in New York City.
Dr. Kim is fluent in Korean, English, and Spanish.
Douglas Blanco is a registered nurse and foreign-trained doctor from Venezuela who joined Glamoi Med Spa in 2019 as an aesthetic nurse.
Douglas offers a variety of nonsurgical dermatological treatments and intravenous therapies to help Glamoi clients achieve their aesthetic goals with realistic expectations. He has a decade of experience working in the health care field, and his expertise ranges from general surgery to dermatology.
Douglas graduated summa cum laude from EDP University of Puerto Rico in San Juan.
He is fluent in English and Spanish.
Joanne Lee, MS, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant at Glamoi Med Spa.
Joanne has been working alongside renowned dermatologists and plastic surgeons in New York City since 2006. She has a keen eye for aesthetics and substantial experience using laser technology and injectable techniques such as Botox and dermal fillers for a natural, youthful face and body revitalization. Joanne is committed to client satisfaction.
She completed her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey and received her undergraduate degree from Boston University.
In her spare time, Joanne enjoys serving her community.
